About Levin

I grew up in a small village in the German countryside. Spending time in with plants, other non-humans, in the woods, fields and meadows has influenced my interests and my practice.

After a bachelor in Applied Theatre Studies in Gießen, Germany, I studied the MA Directing of Devised and Object Theatre at DAMU, Prague.

I focus on process-based-dramaturgy. As a working method I am excited about opening up the already existing potentiality of the material the artistic team is working with.

Both, when working with performers in projects I direct, but also when performing in other people’s work, I believe in creating as research.

When directing, I am interested in ways of being together and forms of interaction, be it between humans, between humans and nonhumans, between performers and audience or in-between members of the audience. Hence most of my works contain a participatory element.
